Last year I started or rather took over an art school I was involved in for many years; and am now the owner of the creative hub I named Bud and Blossom ' Creatives' …

 I actually wanted to disappear from this kind of responsibility I took on myself for 20+ years? Pioneering, building, running a school  in order to give attention to my art career that I have been neglecting forever and a day! 

But obviously life is not always SO easy? As soon as we step away from challenges and follow an easy or comfortable route, you stop growing. If the journey you are destined to travel is always predictable and the same old same old, you never get to climb high mountains and be the spectator of a breathtaking view. 

So I took up the challenge again now as the owner and whatever it is you call a person who sees the big picture and works his butt off in order to make the dream a reality.

Being a purpose seeker, I started delving deep into what the aim and destination is of Bud & Blossom 'C'  I also don't want to call it 'my' school 
.because it is not about me. But about others... 

Our vision and mission states: 
Bud and Blossom ‘Creatives’ is a hub of creativity, expression, and growth of artists and artists to be.
We envision a vibrant and nurturing community where creativity blossoms, expressions take flight, and artists of all levels of experience thrive! Our mission is to serve as a fertile ground for the growth and development of artists and aspiring artists alike.

Our lives need to carry something more than just the ordinary, we have  to take root, bud and blossom and fill the world with fruit growing on us as trees. Creativity is a strength, being creative heals, slows you down and makes you see what others don't see. It is an artists purpose to make others see what they don't want to hear. We tap into our senses stored up by creation and our Creator. 

Art liberates you from being held captive by anxiety and negative experiences and thoughts. Art is a powerful tool that takes you on a journey and makes you grow. Art brings peace and fulfillment because art is so many things. You can paint, draw, sculpt, write a poem or a book, dance, sing and  even cook. But it needs to start somewhere to set you free and let the creative  expressions take flight! 

We aim to create a safe environment where creative misunderstood souls are understood and encouraged to express themselves and to grow as time progresses. Motivation, encouragement and patient skill development is the main ingredient to a fertile ground for artistic growth.   

I don't know about you, but life seems to become more and more a race and everyone is in a survival mode to keep mentally sane. Life should not just be about rushing to work, to the shops and then vegetate behind your tv screen or smart phone loosing yourself in the world of social media or the newest series on Netflix. 

You might think this helps to relax, but it also ads to your anxiety levels. Creativity allows you to blossom and find a hidden treasure buried so deep on the inside of you that you thought it was lost. Your gift was given to you for a reason. To take flight and thrive in your artistic expression!

He supplies in All my needs...Don't let go of your Dreams!

T his morning I want to share how thankful I am, we should never take for granted the good that comes our way and always appreciate and see the provision, even in small things.       I run a Guesthouse called Hidden Gem Art Guesthouse in Germiston where we currently stay... It came my way in 2019 (before Covid hit us) and it became my sanctuary, workplace and space to serve people and guests ever since. We receive guests and recurring guests from all over from places like Durban, the Midlands, Northern Cape (Katu), as well as people from Italy, Belgium and Dubai.     I also run an art school Bud and Blossom 'Creatives' from here, it is my office and as a visual artists   my studio.
